There were Hardtails, Ladyfish and one Bonita caught. Mid-afternoon, Allan S. casted a live Cigar minnow to get hit as soon as it hit the water. It would be the only King Mackerel caught. It hit the scale at 21.4 pounds. Cigar minnows and a few Spanish Sardines were available for live bait.
Friday: water temp 86.0 W 7-10mph in the a.m. / 874 WSW 9-13mph in the p.m. The water was still silty. The shallow water was dirty. Only a couple of Spanish Mackerel and Hardtails were caught this morning. More Hardtails hit the deck in the afternoon. John P. came out after lunch and made one cast before a violent bite. The fish skied right after the hit then screamed line off the spool. This one Gave John a battle and for a while we were not sure who was going to give out first. However, John skillfully finished the fight and got it to the gaff. It hit the scale at 38.3-pounds. It should have weighed around 45 but it was very skinny.
